‘Twas the Week Before Christmas…

Are you freaking out yet?  Do you have everything for everyone?  I know, me neither. But, I do have an awesome {easy} idea for your Christmas brunch.  Fruit salad.  I know, groundbreaking right?  But for real, at least at my house in between the fried oysters and the sausage casserole and the cinnamon buns, a large beautiful bowl of fruit is often a huge treat!

The key is to add a few surprises…this is how I spice up the good old fashioned bowl of fruit.

Festive Fruit Salad
Prep time
Total time
Recipe type: Side Dish
  • 1 cup of raspberries
  • 1 cup cup blackberries
  • 1 cup of blueberries
  • 1 cup of diced kiwi
  • 1 cup of green grapes, sliced in half
  • 1 cup of strawberries sliced in half
  • ½ cup of sliced almonds, toasted
  • ¾ cup Dang coconut chips
  • A dash of cinnamon
  • A few sprigs of fresh mint
  1. Lightly toss all together right before serving. Place in a pretty glass bowl and top with chopped fresh mint.

I know some of these fruits are not cheap this time of year so throw in whatever mix makes sense for you.  You really cannot go wrong!  What else will be on your breakfast table this holiday season?  I can’t wait to EAT!

Merry Everything!
