I have a confession to make. I am a snacker. A big one. But fortunately for us, we <me+you> have access to two amazing health coaches, Tiffany and Mary, to help guide us to healthier snack options. What a relief!
My go to midnight snack is what I call a banana bowl. Fancy, I know. It’s perfect for breakfast or anytime of day but I seem to always eat this delicious dish at night. It happens so much that when I get up out of bed, my husband tends to ask “Time for a banana bowl?”. Whatever, let me live, right?
Ok so here is my banana bowl recipe. It isn’t pretty but it is SO GOOD.
- 1 super ripe banana
- 1 large spoonful of Justin's Maple Almond Butter
- 1 T Local Honey
- 1 T Apple Qia (heaping)
- 1 pitted date chopped into pieces
- Mash and mix everything up and voila....super food snack!
It doesn’t seem or sound like much but I am telling you, it is so addictive and so tasty. The Qia and Maple Almond Butter are always showing up on my door because I order them from Amazon. For real, I am never without these ingredients in my house y’all.
Oh and here’s a tip…never, ever, EVER throw away a rotten banana again! Freeze them for smoothies…they will be even sweeter and tastier if they are black and brown!
