As you know, I am a bar girl. I keep them in my cabinets, my car, my husband’s car, my purse…every where. My personal favorites are KIND (looking at you dark chocolate and sea salt) and Lara bars. Recently I came across this recipe for the ‘best homemade granola bars’. Game. Changer.
I followed the recipe almost exactly, just changing a couple of things. I used a three cup mixture of unsweetened bing cherries, cashews, walnuts, sunflower seeds, almonds and raw cacao nibs. Instead of six tablespoons of butter, I used three and then added three tablespoons of coconut oil.
THEY ARE SO GOOD. Douglas is also a fan and had one for dessert last night. They definitely are high in (good) fat due to all the nuts so don’t go and eat the whole pan people. But these are easy, clean, delicious and made a super large quantity. Thanks mohalakitchen for this recipe…it is a keeper!
