Food Babe’s Almond Butter Brownies…OMG

On any given day I have somewhere between 4-7 jars of almond butter in my cabinet.  I like Justin’s Maple as a treat and on bananas, Maranatha Raw on Ezikiel Sprouted Bread with local honey, Maranatha Maple in my smoothies, and Maranatha Creamy in my banana bowl (yeah, those brown mush pics I post on Instagram…sorry, not sorry…they’re SO GOOD!). You get the idea, I love almond butter.  I like the texture, I feel like it keeps me fuller longer, and it works perfectly in place of peanut butter which was beginning to bore me.

Well, I recently came across Food Babe’s Almond Butter Brownies and got so excited.  I had everything in my cabinet to make them RIGHT THAT SECOND plus they looked fast and easy which is sort of a plus requirement for me.

I used Maranatha Raw and Smooth mixed. The raw is a little runnier and it helped with making the “batter”.  I say “batter” because it was still pretty dry when I was mixing all of the ingredients.  I added a few teaspoons of water and then sort of mashed it into a small pan.

Other changes?  I used raw cacao nibs, coconut fleur de sel for the sugar and salt component, and only baked for about 10 minutes on 350 degrees.

Result?  Oh just a little almond butter slice of heaven.  NEVER, EVER under ANY circumstances double this recipe.  Because you will eat the entire gooey, chocolatey almond buttery pan.  I am so serious…they may be the best clean treat I have ever made.
